❓ Is self-custody mandatory?
No. Platform-Managed remains available for users who want simplicity.
❓ Is self-custody free?
No platform “SC fee” for existing just to enable the mode. You still pay network gas and normal product fees in PIF when you use paid features.
❓ Who can see my transactions?
On-chain transfers are public on the explorer (addresses + amounts). Your TheBenefactor.Net profile privacy is separate from chain privacy.
❓ Does TheBenefactor.Net store my seed phrase?
Never. We store things like your verified address and app records — not seeds.
Mode & switching
❓ Can I switch back to managed?
Yes, subject to cooldown and platform rules. See Wallet Modes.
❓ Why won’t it let me switch to SC?
Usually: managed balance still greater than zero, pending withdrawals/txs, or SC not enabled yet.
❓ What happens to auto-renew when I go SC?
Auto-renewals that spent managed balance are turned off. Renew manually on-chain.
Wallet & verification
❓ What’s the difference between connect and verify?
Connect = browser session with MetaMask.
Verify (SIWE) = cryptographic proof that the address is yours → primary.
❓ I use a hardware wallet — OK?
Yes if it works through MetaMask (or supported flow). Backup the hardware recovery still.
❓ Can my friend pay a fee for me from their wallet?
No, for recorded SC fees — from must be your primary.
Money flows
❓ Where do rewards go?
To your verified primary on-chain when you’re in SC (when the reward is paid).
❓ Why is deposit/withdraw gone?
In SC, tokens aren’t parked in the same ledger model — your wallet is the balance.
❓ BNB only?
Most SC payment flows on the site are BNB Chain PIF today.
Problems
❓ I paid twice by mistake.
Stop further payments. Collect both tx hashes. Contact support with hashes + username. Prevention: Already Paid.
❓ Site says success but MetaMask shows nothing.
You may be on a different account/network in MetaMask. Check primary address and BNB Chain.

Never share or type your recovery phrase into a website.
