Update - We’ve launched Self-Custody wallet mode on TheBenefactor.

Users can keep our Platform-Managed experience for simplicity, or connect their own wallet (e.g. MetaMask), verify ownership with a signature, and hold PIF under their own keys.

 

Why it matters:
✅ Choice — managed ease or self-custody control
✅ Clarity — rewards can settle on-chain to a verified address
✅ Security posture — we never request seed phrases; users approve spends in-wallet
 
Self-custody isn’t mandatory. It’s available when someone wants it.
